It's fairly simple. We request $100.00 (we gladly accept ANY amount) from local and national businesses. For that amount we give the following...
1. Name Recognition on the Billboard via 8x10 fluorescent lamented sheet. Tourists wait up to two hours in front of the building on event nights. We will gladly substitute a company logo
2. Name recognition via DVD video in the waiting room. All tourists must spend time in the waiting room
3. Name Recognition on our official website sponsor section (www.wellstownshiphauntedhouse.com). We will gladly link to your website from ours by linking your organization site by name
4. "Proud Sponsor" Certificate mailed to you for display at your discretion
5. Name recognition on our Official Facebook Page
6. Name recognition on our Official Myspace Page
7. Name recognition in end of season Letter to the Editor in local newspapers
Yes. Several area Police Officers are involved in the Wells Township Haunted House. Currently we have Officers several area law enforcement agencies working inside the house. All of these officers volunteer their time to work with the youth volunteers and get involved in the house. Each one is in character and working in various rooms and also provides interior and exterior security. This not only helps them build positive relationships with the youth involved but we can brag up the fact that we have the absolute safest Haunted House in the world ;). It's not often that a Haunted House can say "Our actors have powers of arrest!"

You have to be at least 14 years of age and be available on Fridays and Saturdays. Your talent level is not a problem. We currently have a few actors who are under the age of 14, but, they signed on before the 14 and over rule took effect. Basically, to sign up and volunteer, all you have to do is ask our director. If you are an adult, you must possess a positive influence and be able to project that influence on the youth volunteering in the Wells Township Haunted House. If you are a teenager, you must be able to work effectively with others, keep your grades up and keep yourself out of trouble. We have well over 100 people volunteering this year, BUT, we can and will continue to accept new people. In order to volunteer at the Wells Township Haunted House you must agree to our confidentiality policy. What happens here stays here, that simple. We pride ourselves on originality. Several movie characters (Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, Freddy Kruger, etc) are present in and around the attraction.
Each tour takes approximately 30-40 minutes.
Each year we continue to grow more and more popular. As a result, it is hard to determine how long you must wait before your tour begins. Basically, it depends on how early you arrive and how many people sign up to tour the house. If you arrive early, your tour will be put into the house sooner. The later you arrive, the longer you will be forced to wait. We continue to do everything in our power to lessen the wait, however, waits can last as long as 3 hours or more for those arriving late.
Fire codes mandate the amount of people in the house at one time, including the staff (usually over 100). Crowds are exceeding 1000 people on some nights. Groups of 10 are put in the house approximately every 2-3 minutes. Mathematically, if all persons arrive at the same time, a 3 to 4 hour wait would exist.
We do not recommend our haunt to anyone under 12 years of age. We will allow those under 12 to tour the haunt if they wish, however, they do so at their own risk. This haunt is very scary and intended for mature audiences based on that alone. There is no adult themed matter, just rooms aimed at scaring older tourists.
Yes. We host a LIGHTS ON TOUR for our younger fans. This is designed for elementary aged and younger school children. It is also a great opportunity for adults to check out all the work that goes into each year. Basically, all lights will be on, no scary music will be played and no one is in character. Our tour guides will guide a non-scary tour through each room in the house. Tourists will get to meet the actors. The actors will describe what took place in their room and relate some stories about what they did to scare people in the room.
At this time our haunt is NOT handicap accessible, the building we operate in was built in the early 1800's.
